The Cellular Intercarrier Billing Exchange Roamer Record™ or CIBER is the roaming record used by all carriers employing AMPS analog, CDMA and TDMA air interfaces, regardless of frequency.
CIBER is a set of proprietary protocols for the exchange of billing information among wireless telecommunications companies, billing vendors, clearing houses, clearing banks and MACH. These are developed, maintained and updated by us.
CIBER contains the record types employed to bill for air and toll calls, additional features, surcharges and other services. Also included in CIBER are the edit conditions, data dictionary and reject and return processes.
Companies that wish to use the CIBER record format are required to pay a licence fee, where upon they are provided with the file formats and support.
