Mobile data usage has seen exponential growth in recent years, but the potential of data roaming revenue still remains untapped. While international data usage is growing fast, revenue is not matching this growth, as consumers choose to find alternative ways to access data services while they are travelling. Concerns about ‘Bill Shock’, the structure of retail offers and complex systems to enable data roaming combine to restrict revenue growth.
