Fraud Express (HUR)
Mobile Network Operators around the world have adopted “Near Real Time Roaming Data Exchange” (NRTRDE) solutions to counter the threat of roaming fraud. NRTRDE is a mechanism to get records from a visited network to the home network in near real time. As the home operator, you can then use that data to identify and prevent fraud.
Not all operators have completed their migration to NRTRDE and some operators continue to use High Usage Reports (HUR).
Fraud Express provides three types of service:
- Sending of HURs on behalf of the VPMN
- Receiving of HURs on behalf of the HPMN
- Creation of reports at the HPMN, based on incoming NRTRDE data
The last of these three options is also important if you receive NRTRDE data, however you may prefer the HUR format to get an indication of all high usage subscribers.
