Job description

Based in Luxembourg, the Pricing Manager will be responsible for the creation and management of the pricing of all solutions of all business lines. The main deliverables are the price book, the tactical price plan and the pricing approval plan. The Pricing Manager shall chair the product pricing board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and define appropriate price guidelines and bid strategy for all products.
  • Develop our effective segmentation strategy and variance based analysis to define floor and ceiling price points.
  • Define and manage approval process through regular reviews of price variance charts and metrics.
  • Lead effective price reviews on large opportunities with cross-functional divisional staff teams.
  • Assist in close strategy.
  • Provide management with monthly metrics including win/loss tracking, quote variance to guidelines, sell price trends, speed to quote, etc.
  • Maintain product knowledge and regularly monitor industry pricing practices; particularly for major competitors and distributors.
  • Understand current economic conditions and financial implications for all business unit.
  • Understand value position of products against competition, competing alternatives, and internal product offering.
  • Determine appropriate list prices and discounts based on analysis of market climate and competition product life cycle
  • Effectively model value proposition segments to define pricing strategy on new product launches.
  • Document customer ROI and payback and assists in development of sales communication of new product price strategy
  • Set up regular pricing approval process & information meetings with the Segments / Corporate Strategy / Professional Services teams.
Required Skills and Background
  • At least 5 years experience in handling IT & Telecommunication and good understanding of Pricing and Financial modeling, Commercial and Marketing Management within the Telecoms or related sector
  • Sound understanding of business and financial drivers and customer needs
  • Degree and / or postgraduate qualifications in Finance or Marketing
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Any additional language being a plus.
  • Team player and excellent communication skills
  • Advanced Excel modeling
  • Customer Service Orientation

A valid work permit for Luxembourg is required.
