Job description

MACH is looking for a Financial Controller for the Application Messaging services.

Based in Würzburg (Germany), you will report to the Head of Group Accounting and Controlling at MACH’s Head office in Luxemburg.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consolidation of two Connectivity legal entity results ahead of group consolidation and reporting to LOB MD.
  • Completion of Connectivity Financial Reporting Packs and commentary
  • Accounting related tasks Connectivity Business
  • Management of AP workflow and approvals process in DK and DE entities
  • Implementation of departmental/cost centre accounting process and approvals process
  • Preparation of monthly accruals and other balance sheet schedules (CoS, Travel, Bonus, Sales Commission, agent accruals, accrued revenues, prepayments, customer deposits)
  • Monthly capitalisation of development cost
  • Driver of Connectivity Collections process, Cash management
  • Approval of CAPEX and Travel in line with Group Approvals Policy
  • Completion of audit and statutory filings for three legal entities.
  • Completion and filing of tax returns
  • LoB revenue assurance Connectivity: billing system audit and contract controlling
  • Monthly Settlement Report Creation of Key Account Customer Microsoft
  • Migrate MACH Germany to Axapta and take over the accounting and controlling of this entity -> perform all the above tasks for MACH Germany.
Required Skills and Background
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance
  • High level of accounting knowledge of German GAAP preferably from past experience as an accountant and financial controller. IFRS knowledge would be an advantage
  • Candidate must be able to work in English and German (written and spoken)
  • Strong analytical skills – the candidate will be able to analyse, investigate variances, be critical
  • Demonstrate ability to build relationships and work effectively cross functionally and with remote team members in India, Luxemburg, Denmark
  • Willingness to change – both within own area of responsibility and within the company;
  • Work independently but should also be a team player
  • Enjoy working in a busy work environment where “not enough time” is often an issue. High level of energy. Demonstrate sense of urgency and can be deadline driven. Good at prioritising and provide stakeholders with early warning if deadlines are not met
