Mobitai moves to MACH for Data & Financial Clearing to help secure their future growth and success in Taiwan

Luxembourg, 2nd October, 2007 – MACH, the leading global clearing and settlement partner for mobile based transactions, today announced that Mobitai has selected MACH for their industry-renowned solutions; MACH Data Clearing and MACH Financial Clearing.
Mobitai has been providing the central regions of Taiwan with key international roaming services since 1997. These services now include mobile voice and value added services, GPRS, enterprise solutions, WLAN and ISR. Mobitai was acquired by Taiwan Mobile Co. Ltd. in September 2004 and the Group is now a new member of MACH’s growing client base.
With approximately 20 million people owning mobile phones in Taiwan, the market penetration rate is close to 90% (1). Being in an almost mature mobile market, it is crucial for Mobitai to remain competitive, minimise operational costs and avoid roaming revenue losses if exchange flows are not managed in a reliable and secure manner.
